Quietly without words

The performance "Quietly Without Words" is built on one of the most interesting genres of Ukrainian song - urban romance or chanson (from the French chanson - "song").

The fabric of the performance is formed by songs and texts by Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka, Taras Shevchenko to music by Bohdan Vesolovsky, Anatoly Kos-Anatolsky, Arkady Filipenko and other composers - as well as French and Polish chanson, which is organically woven into the musical culture of Lviv.

The character of the play is a girl whom we can meet every day in the city: in the square, on the tram, on the train... She is always going somewhere, traveling. The scenery of life changes. And the place of her family remains unchanged in her. Her lonely voice conquers the desert of the city.
