TONKA acoustic concert in the V'YAVA cultural space

@tonka.music is a Kyiv-based intelligent-pop project consisting of vocalist Olena Karas, sound producer Yaroslav Tatarchenko and drummer Oleksandr Yavdyk. In their work, they organically combine bold sound solutions with deep vocals and insightful lyrics, and they started putting old Ukrainian poetry to a modern sound even before it became mainstream.

"Intelligent pop is our philosophy. In easy-to-perceive compositions, we try to put more musical aesthetics than is usually found in pop music," says Yaroslav in an interview with "SLUH".

TONKA will present an acoustic program at V'YAVA with an expanded lineup, which will include Yevhen Pugachev (bass guitar, guitar), Hryhoriy Parshin (saxophone, flugelhorn), Tony Stenko (saxophone) and Oleksiy Pavlechko (trumpet). The penetrating songs of the band sound most tenderly in this performance.
