Emotional, sensual, passionate Argentine tango on the Odesa stage
The program of the evening consists of two departments:- "Mesa from Buenos Aires" by the Argentine composer Martin Palmeri will be performed in the first section. The work, written in 1996, has already conquered the world stage and will now be presented to the people of Odessa. The Mass is characterized by a combination of the traditional six-part Catholic liturgy in Latin with the stylistic features of tango. And in the melody and rhythmic structures, the features of the musical culture of South America are reflected. A feature of the work is the use of a part of a kind of harmonica - bandoneon. The sound of the instrument helps preserve the "soul" of tango in the work;
- in the second section you will see a choreographic cycle of four tangos "Seasons in Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzolla. The title of the cycle reflects different periods of the life of the hero, a resident of the outskirts of Buenos Aires. So Piazzolla's "Seasons" is a wide range of experiences caused by love, betrayal and loneliness. This is a palette of feelings expressed in the language of dance and music.
