It's hard to believe, but even the creators of the multi-platinum hits aren't sure if the songs they've written are right for them. X Ambassadors is just such a band.
The authors of the famous tracks Renegades and Unsteady, worked on the album Orion for four years. At the 2018 Atlas scene, the X Ambassadors played new songs and frontman Sam Harris assured: "Very soon our new record will be released, wait a minute." It took more than a year to wait.
As it turned out, X Ambassadors recorded as many as two albums during this time and not one of them satisfied them.
"We already had a completely ready release called Joyful. We did it in the direction of soul and rhythm and blues. It seemed like everything was going well and we had to go this way. But when we listened to it completely, we realized. that this music does not really present us to the listener. Another version of the album is the songs we made during the last round, but nothing came of them, "Harris says.
Produced by X Ambassadors producer Ricky Reed. Their acquaintance broke into several tracks, which became the basis of Orion. "It's nice to work with this guy, but most importantly, he's helped us focus on what we want," the frontman admits.
Orion is not the only thing the band has been doing all this time. X Ambassadors wrote and produced three tracks for the now-popular pop singer Lizzo, as well as compiling songs that invited guest musicians to play The Throne Game. Apart from them, The Weeknd, A $ AP Rocky, SZA, The National, Rosalia and many more were lit there.
So get ready for a concert of "secret ambassadors", because they bring us a lot of new things - both impressions and hits.
