Becoming a musician

Yevhen Khmara is a Ukrainian composer, virtuoso pianist, whose compositions and video clips have been listened to and viewed by tens of thousands of people. The styles in which the maestro works are instrumental and neoclassical music, rock and dubstep. The future star of the stage chose the musical genre in his childhood. Although Yevhen's parents were not connected with the world of culture and creativity (his mother was a teacher, and his father was a railway worker).

Since childhood, Yevgen Khmara showed a keen interest in aviation, astronomy and music. When the boy was seven years old, he created his first musical work. It was a composer's debut, inspired by a train trip. The young man was also fascinated by astronomy and bought a powerful telescope with the first money he earned. Yevgen also played sports and received a brown belt in karate. In 2003, he graduated from music school and the following year began his career as a musician. The first job that the young talent took on was the musical design of a furniture sales salon.

In 2010, Yevhen Khmara graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship. But he saw his future on the big stage. So he began to write music and create original arrangements for the stars of domestic show business. In general, during his creative career, the composer was distinguished by collaboration with such outstanding singers and groups of Ukraine and the world as Oleg Skrypka, the KAZKA group, Alessandro Safina, the Space group, Didier Marouani, the NeAngely group and others. Together with famous artists, the musician appeared on the stages of major festivals and concert venues.

Artist's style and development

An important step towards popularity and recognition of a wide audience for Yevhen Khmara was his participation in the project “Ukraine has talent” in 2012. At the casting of the show, the pianist performed his composition “Fairy Tale”. The game was impeccable, but the show judges had to be really surprised. Igor Kondratyuk decided to test the participant for strength and suggested that the contestant play the melodies by ear. The virtuoso coped with the producer’s task brilliantly.

The talented composer begins to confidently conquer music fans. From the stage of "Ukraine's Got Talent" such works of Yevgeny as "Magic Clock" and "Depth" sound. The favor of the judges and the audience takes Khmara to the super final of the show and opens up new opportunities and prospects for development. In 2013, the first full-length album "Fairy Tale" appeared in the work of the talented musician and composer. Fans froze in anticipation of the performer's large-scale tour. But Yevgeny limited himself to concerts in several major cities of Ukraine.

In the wake of growing popularity, the second album premiered in the same year. The release was called "Znamennya". The feature of the collection was the combination of symphonic music with progressive and energetic dubstep. Creating a unique mix was Yevgen's long-standing dream, which the musician finally realized. In 2016, Yevgen Khmara's third full-length album, entitled White Piano, was released. Music critics noted that in the compositions of the album, Yevgen departed from his usual style. But despite the change in sound, the album was warmly received both among fans and in the community of music critics. The collection became a real hit in the world of music. In total, the musician released 6 albums.

Social activity

Yevgen Khmara is actively involved in supporting social and charitable projects. The artist annually participates in the charity festival “Towards a Dream”. Since 2017, with the assistance of the Child.ua association, the musician has been organizing charity music therapy concerts for children with psychological illnesses. Yevgen is an active member and volunteer of the “Autism Friendly Space” movement.

The talented pianist often plays the piano in public places – airports, train stations – both abroad and in Ukraine. This takes place within the framework of the Public Piano project. The composer is developing the project with the aim of introducing as many people as possible to instrumental music. Yevhen often performs the national anthem of Ukraine, which arouses extraordinary interest among passers-by. Some videos of these performances have over 70,000,000 views on YouTube.

Another important project of Yevhen Khmara is Open Ukraine by Music. Within the framework of the format, through music and shooting video clips in unusual locations, the musician opens Ukraine to the world. He shows the most beautiful and hidden places of our country, the existence of which many people do not even suspect.

• As a child, Yevhen was knowledgeable about types of aircraft and could recognize them by the sound of the engine;
• every year the musician becomes the organizer of charity concerts for children with physical and mental disabilities, as it is officially recognized that the composer's music has a positive effect on children's health;
• from 2014 to 2018, Yevgen Khmara was a pianist on the X-Factor show, accompanying the participants' performances;
• Once, for fun, the musician played the piano at the Malta airport. A passerby filmed the performance. The clip went viral and has over 60 million views on YouTube.
