Ballet for two: Berlin stars Yana Salenko and Marian Walter will present their "Giselle" to Kiev
In ballet, there is no more tender and poetic story than Giselle. And couples are more perfect than Jan Salenko and Marian Walter - the pride of the Berlin Ballet. On November 15, the stars will converge in Kiev: the virtuoso Salenko and Walter will perform the main roles in Giselle on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine.
Yana Salenko from Kiev is a permanent diamond in the troupe of Staatsballett Berlin for more than 10 years. Laureate of international competitions, invited prima Covent Garden returns to his hometown infrequently, but each time with great success. It seems that on the stage Yana Salenko can do everything: for her there are no legendary difficulties of ballet art.
Her husband and colleague in the Berlin scene, Prime Minister Marian Walter, is dancing no less completely: impeccable control over his own body, springy, powerful leap created world fame for him and won many awards.
Together, Yana and Marian dance infrequently, so seeing them in one performance in Kiev is a great success. Especially in "Giselle" - ballet, where the complex dance and acting are inseparable. This performance reveals all the facets of the talent of artists.
The premiere of "Giselle" was held in 1841 and since then the ballet has been performed on the stages of all respected theaters in the world. Viewers appreciate him for a beautiful love story that overcomes even death. For a hypnotic second act, full of "ghostly" dancers of ballerinas in long white tutus. For the graceful music of Adolf Adan, which merges with the dance and experiences of the characters.
"Giselle" - one of the peaks of theatrical art of the 19th century. And if suddenly you stayed away from her, Berlin stars Jan Salenko and Marian Walter will give you an unforgettable acquaintance with the classics. Or open its new face.
