There is a time in a person's life when he is alone with himself...
that time of transition, of change, of an important decision,
a face-to-face meeting:
with one's self,
with destiny,
with challenges of life,
with deeper questions,
to which there is no simple, unambiguous answer,
and maybe there's no answer at all,
and you have to learn to live with questions that never go away.

There is a time when stories, plots and explanations are no longer needed,
because logic is powerless,
because you enter unknown territory without a map,
old experience becomes an obstacle rather than a pointer,
and you have to wait for a flash of intuition, an instinct, an insight,
to trust in the darkness of premonitions and hints,
as in a dream,
uniting the distant and the near shores of memory -
of yours, of the family, of the country, of the land.
And to understand -
on both sides of the eternal Danube
is your home…
