Odesa Puppet Theater is one of the oldest puppet theaters in Ukraine. It was founded in 1932 and is located in the historical center of Odesa at 15 Pastera Street. For more than 80 years of its existence, the Odesa Academic Puppet Theater has become one of the most famous theaters of puppetry in Ukraine and beyond. The theater has created many unforgettable performances that have become classics of the genre, and its skill and talent have been recognized at many festivals and competitions. The Odessa Puppet Theater has its own tradition and style of performances, characterized by the high skill of actors and puppeteers, as well as bright fantastic scenery.
In the puppet theater in Odesa, children meet for the first time in their lives with an action called theater. This is how they can be prepared for "adult" performances, which they will have to get acquainted with at a more mature age. With the help of dolls, theater actors tell children stories that teach them goodness, honesty, love, friendship, nobility, justice, and help them learn about this world. Here, the dolls are very similar to people. Coming to life in the hands of real masters, they are happy, upset, quarrel and reconcile, but every fairy tale always ends well, to the great joy of the kids, who begin to strive for life to become like a fairy tale with a good ending, having learned to do the right things.
Currently, the repertoire of the puppet theater includes more than 30 plays based on the works of domestic and foreign authors, of various genres, which will be interesting for both children and their parents. See the poster of puppet theater performances in Odesa on the Concert.ua website.
The youngest viewers have the opportunity to attend theater performances absolutely free, as tickets must be purchased only for children over two years old.
