About events

In the first days of the new year, the festive mood is still in full swing! We invite you to continue the celebration and enjoy the amazing music at the Fairmont Classic - Christmas concert. The concert program includes samples of classical music, which from year to year accompany the winter holidays and create a special fairy-tale atmosphere.

Winter holidays are a special and wonderful time that everyone is looking forward to. This period of the year is full of pleasant rituals: watching thematic movies, choosing gifts for loved ones, decorating the house. All this creates a feeling of a real holiday around and awakens faith in miracles not only in children but also in adults of the most serious professions. The winter holidays charge us with strength for the whole next year, and also serve as an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

The theme of Christmas and New Year has repeatedly become central in the musical works of composers of different eras. Each artist sought to depict and emphasize the unique magical atmosphere that hovers around at this time. The program of the Fairmont Classic - Christmas concert was collected from such works. You will hear selected numbers from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, Antonio Vivaldi's Winter Concerto, Archangel Corelli's Christmas concerto grosso, and other works that carry a touch of New Year's joy and festive magic.

This evening, the Kyiv Mozart Orchestra will play on the stage for you - an orchestra of virtuosos, which brings together the best musicians in the country.

The concert program:

  • Peter Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893) - selected numbers from the ballet "The Nutcracker" and Valse (Part II);
  • Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713) - Concerto Grosso №8 "Christmas";
  • Antonio Vivaldi (1678 - 1741) - Concert "Winter" from the cycle "Seasons";
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) - Divertissement in D major (parts II and III);
  • Luigi Boccherini (1743 - 1805) - "Fandango" in D major;
  • Johann Strauss (1825 - 1899) - waltzes "Blue Danube" and "Vienna Blood".

Let's start the new year together! Sincerely, Marco Concert.
