About events
Masterfully wrapping down the dunbite and trip hop with throbbing electronics, JJ Johanson created his own brand of music featuring melancholy noir-style films. The debut album of the musician Whiskey was released in 1996, followed by Tattoo in 1998. Recorded third poem Poison (2000) was attended by guitarist and co-founder of the Cocteau Twins group Robin Gatry, and it has taken high positions on charts throughout Europe. At the same time Johanson wrote a soundtrack to the film La Confusion des Genres (directed by Ilan Durant Cohen) and created a video music installation Cosmodrome, which was first introduced in Dijon.
In 2006, Johanson, together with The Knife, wrote and recorded the Marble House track for their Silent Shout album, and subsequently began work on their own Long Term Physical Effects, Not Even Known. The latest Jay Johnson album, Bury The Hatchet, released in the fall of 2017.
This winter JJ will return to Ukraine to warm you with his music.
