25th anniversary “Deriugina Cup” starts on March 19. World stars of gymnastics are coming together.
On March 19-22, 2020, the Kyiv Palace of Sports will host international rhythmic gymnastics competitions – “Deriugina Cup 2020”. It is one of the most beautiful sports events of our time, and every year the whole world of rhythmic gymnastics is looking forward to it.
38 countries are expected to take part in the 25th “Deriugina Cup”. Their best gymnasts will compete for the Grand Prix World Series.
This year's “Deriugina Cup” competitions are special. Firstly, it is an anniversary tournament. Secondly, Kyiv will host the 36th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in May, and just two months after that the Olympic Games will start in Tokyo. Therefore, the spectators of “Deriugina Cup” can expect the best programs of the world graces this year.
The competitions of “Deriugina Cup” are held under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) and include Grand Prix and International Tournament. Seniors will take part in the Grand Prix competitions, performing with individual routines. In the International Tournament, seniors and juniors will take part individually, as well as seniors in group exercises. Additionally, there will be a tournament for pre-juniors.
An unforgettable Opening ceremony also awaits the spectators of the “Deriugina Cup 2020” on Saturday, March 21. On Sunday, March 22, the tournament's closing ceremony and Gala show will take place.
