The extraordinary performance "Courage", staged by Oleksiy Sklyarenko, a master of the embodiment of thought in sculpture and stage movement, is a kind of sensation on the stage of the Lypky Theater.
The production was based on the play "Mother Courage and Her Children" and remarks by Bertold Brecht - a prominent German poet and playwright.
The play was written in 1938-1939 and was conceived as an anti-war work. In the play, the director continues the author's opinion about the destructive function of wars, which erase from the face of the Earth not only the material world of people, but also the emotional, subtle aspects of our existence.
The difficult material is offered to the spectator in a very beautiful and aesthetic form - the actors present their characters with the help of choreography and incredible plastic solutions. The director has a very subtle sense of human psychophysics, so the play touches the intimate corners of the audience's soul in very appropriate visual ways.
The play uses works by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler and contemporary compositions by Mariana Sadovska, Ot Vinta and Borys Grebenshchikov.

By the way, the year of the foundation of the Youth Theater is 1924. So in 2024 the theater will celebrate its 100th anniversary. And this means that we should expect many pleasant surprises for the audience. After all, they love and appreciate their audience here, offering a wide and diverse repertoire, surprising with bold directorial experiments and demonstrating a modern approach to productions. The works of the creative team are focused on three age categories: children, youth and the older generation (after all, no one will argue that every adult always remains young at heart).
