For several decades, the Kyiv Academic Theater of Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnieper has been giving all connoisseurs of high art unforgettable moments from getting acquainted with the work of talented artists - both classics and contemporaries. The address of the institution is Brovarskyi Avenue, 25.

Since the theater was founded in 1978, for 40 years, the team was headed by the outstanding director Eduard Mytnytsky. Under his leadership, the institution took a course towards the maximum disclosure of the actor's potential, free emotional exchange with the audience. Eduard Markovich always advocated the organic involvement of new views, ideas, and the modernization of the creative presentation of works. The director's views are best reflected in his quote:
"You can't live in the past, even with classical values, because every era brings something new."

Since January 2019, the director and artistic director of the Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper has been Honored Artist of Ukraine Stas Zhirkov. The main director of the theater is Tamara Trunova.
The cast is represented by both young talents and experienced professionals. The productions feature Honored Artist of Ukraine Viktor Zhdanov, People's Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Goryansky, Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Zadniprovsky, Honored Artist of Ukraine Iryna Melnyk, Konstantin Kostyshyn, Iryna Tkachenko, Kateryna Savenkova and many other stage masters.

The Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper worthily represents Ukraine at international festivals:

The theater always participates with its performances in Ukrainian festivals, including KUT-30 - the Festival of Modern Ukrainian Theater, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
