3 From August 22 to September 15, within the framework of the Velvet Season Festival, five bright artistic events will take place at the Odessa Opera, which will give a real aesthetic pleasure to every connoisseur of theater. Special program dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence: festival "Velvet Season at the Odesa Opera"
Each event of the festival is prepared with special care and will be a premiere. For five days, guests of the "Velvet Season at the Odessa Opera" will see:
- August 22 - grand opening of the festival by the program "Ukraine - the world". The best singers of Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and European countries, who perform traditional opera masterpieces, including the best works of Ukrainian composers, are invited to participate.
- August 28 - Giacomo Puccini's opera "Bohemia". This is a modern version of one of the world's most popular operas, created in collaboration with the Odessa Opera with artists from Belgium and the Netherlands.
- August 29 - Karl Orff's stage cantata "Carmina Burana" in the genre of cantata-ballet (a combination of contemporary style with a unique author's decision of the Dutch choreographer Gerard Mosterd).
- September 5 - concert "Ukrainian Odyssey", which under the direction of the outstanding conductor Hobart Earl, the Philharmonic Orchestra will perform famous works by Rossini, Grieg, Khachaturian, Tchaikovsky, Skoryk, Lysenko and others.
- September 15 - project collage "Ark Ukraine: Music" with the participation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine / YsOU, Men's Choir "Dudarik", ethno-groups "DakhaBrakha", "Cossack Chorea", soloists Ulyana Gorbachevskaya, Oksana Nikitya others. The conductor is the famous Oksana Liniv.
