P.A.N.TER - Performing Arts Never TERminate

15th, 16th and 17th of October at Stage 6, Dovzhenko Center. Premiere of a multimedia performance with augmented reality, based on Franz Kafka's story A Hunger Artist.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN IT, ART OR THEATER? THEN THE MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCE P.A.N.TER IS FOR YOU

  1. The project team researched two contemporary creative classes and interviewed their members: performing arts and IT. The results of this research and Franz Kafka's story "The Hunger Artist" are the points of departure for the performance.
  2. The multidisciplinary performance was created by two types of artists, collaborating on eye-level: media artists and choreographers.
  3. There is a collision of two worlds in this performance: the traditional / theatrical one versus the ultra-contemporary / digital one. The worlds come together both in form and content of the performance.

THE PERFORMANCE COMBINES LIVE BODIES, CONTEMPORARY DANCE AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES: MEDIA ART AND AUGMENTED REALITY

You will get a new experience: immersion into the world of live motion, which turns into a digital metaphor. You will become a new spectator, who finds himself in the very center of the events of the performance: where the boundary between the real and the imaginary disappears.

ATTENTION! The performance uses ALTstage augmented reality technology. It will work on your smartphone or tablet, if they meet certain technical parameters:

  • iPhone 7 or newer
  • Android 8.0 or newer

If you do not have a suitable gadget — we'll provide you with an opportunity to have the experience in a different way.

  • it is desirable that your smartphone is charged at least 80%
  • as the application will download and play volumetric video, make sure that your smartphone has enough free memory, at least 1.5-2 GB
