This story is based on real life events from a soldier named Antelm Manzhin. During the First World War, due to a severe wound, he loses his memory and ceases to perceive the realities of his past.
Gaston, the protagonist of the play Passenger Without Baggage, experiences a similar experience. Circumstances have turned out so that he finds himself in an excellent house, where everything says that it is here that he will find his relatives, his family ... But getting to know the inhabitants of this house, his family, learning about the details of his past life, and the memory of his crazy youthful love turns out to be the heavy burden that memory loss for him is already becoming almost a blessing.
However, the plot is so interesting and unpredictable that it will keep the viewer in constant tension. Indeed, during almost more than half of the narrative, it is unclear whether Gaston got into his family or not? This and not only this riddle is to be solved by the viewer. To live with the hero a tremulous love story. And also, to answer many moral and ethical questions arising in this performance.
In 1937, the play Passenger Without Baggage was presented on the Paris stage and subsequently brought the world-famous playwright Jean Anuy his first success.
