Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater (Mariupol) presents a new premiere. This time, the audience will get to know the work of the Georgian playwright Lasha Bugadze in a production by the director, Honored Artist of Ukraine Lyudmila Kolosovych.
6 mini-plays, 6 small stories are succinctly united in the performance "Tazed Tatiana", the events of which take place in the picturesque Caucasus during the invasive and senseless Russian-Georgian war. The words and actions of the main characters, who suffer from mental disorders as a result of military operations, are a manifestation of ideas about such important concepts as war, love, respect, life and death.
"Stunned Tatyana" is not devoid of black humor. Here, reality borders on absurdity, and gender roles do not correspond to generally accepted expectations - in contrast to weak, caressing men, rough, masculine women appear. The relations between the representatives of the older and younger generations are depicted in a peculiar way in the production. And what about the conflict of stereotypical human values and subconscious desires of a person, which in society it is customary to silence?
Thanks to the melody of the language, the plastic movements of the actors and the peculiarities of the scenography, the performance acquired the features of a vividly expressed Georgian identity. At the same time, "Stunned Tatyana" has a multinational character, because the theme of war is relevant all over the world.
