At the heart of the performance of the Theater on Podol is the cycle of short stories by M. A. Bulgakov of the same name - “Notes of a Young Doctor”. In them, the writer depicted in a slightly modified form those real cases that occurred in his medical practice.

The genre of staging is “mournful sheet” or “medical history”. Dr. Bomgart falls into the hands of the diary of his friend. In it, Polyakov describes the torments of a man who was captured by morphine. Sergey Polyakov is also a doctor, and an excellent specialist. The trouble is that he is the personality of a delicate mental organization, and therefore could not cope with personal pain. From Polyakova beloved wife left. And now the whole existence of the doctor is filled only with ghostly memories of a departed wife.

Sergey Polyakov runs away from reality, plunging into the world of drugs. But is it possible to hide from your pain somewhere? Is there a different reality in this world? And most importantly - does a person remember that payment for illusions is inevitable?
