Stus. Passerby
Chamber opera "Stus: Passerby"
“Stus: Passerby” is a chamber opera by the DakhTrio team, musicians, and actors of the “CSM DAKH”. The performance is based on the poems of Vasyl Stus, a Ukrainian poet who became a victim of the Soviet regime and a symbol of the struggle and resistance of the Ukrainian people.
From Vasyl Stus' letters to his son:
"Man does not exist through knowledge (although knowledge is also possible), not through labor (although labor is also possible), not through love (although it is also possible).
Man lives to live.
Very vague, but no one has said it more specifically.
Try to understand other people, to see in their lives their truth, which should be accepted, not contested. So, judge people not only from your position, but also from theirs. Even better, from several positions. For this you need to have a generous heart.
Trees and flowers, frogs and swallows, rats and falcons live in their own way. And no one makes any claims against them. And so do people."
