Do you want to go to the original and witty performance? Welcome to the production of the National Theater of Rusndrama in Kiev under the title "The Wind Raging in Poplars"!
This is a story - a kind of ironic saga about 3 old men who have gone through the war and are now living out their bleakest lives in a cheerless almshouse. But this does not mean that they are discouraged and dutifully awaiting death. Our heroes retain a strong love for life and for each other, they are eager to move towards their dreams, in which they are helped by their unyielding difficulties and, of course, a sense of humor. Such their love of life even creates an illusion for others: thanks to them everyone becomes happy simply here and now.
And the heroes are united by a common goal: by all means reach the "cherished poplars". Even if they are mythical. Will they succeed in doing this, preserving themselves, their philanthropy, sincere faith and openness? This is to be understood and comprehended by the audience.
The play was staged according to the play of modern French playwright Gerald Sibleiras, master of witty dialogue. You are waiting for deep philosophical reflections and provocative statements.
On the example of everyday problems, the author easily and skillfully examines the complex process of comprehending life. The heroes of the dramatist's works are ambitious oddballs with merciless self-irony and naive dreaminess. They are constantly in search of answers to questions about love, compassion, eternity, pride...
The director of this heroic comedy is Yevgeny Lunchenko.
Cast: Andrey Ponomarenko, Eugene Lunchenko, Alexander Valyuk.
The duration of the performance is 1 hour 50 minutes (no intermission).
