For the first time in Ukraine! In the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theater for Children and Youth opera-buff of the genius Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti "VIVA LA MAMMA (Long live my mother!), Or Theatrical order and disorder."
The opera reveals to the audience theatrical vicissitudes and a real turbulent life behind the scenes. "VIVA LA MAMMA" is "theater within theater". The play clearly demonstrates the eternal conflicts between the composer and the poet, between directors and actors.
The plot develops very dynamically. The heroes of the play initially act quite harmoniously, but gradually the personal interests of each lead to a number of seemingly insurmountable contradictions. The upcoming production is on the verge of failure! The main character - Agatha, the mother of one of the singers, demands a leading role for her daughter Luigia, but this is opposed by the diva, which makes the conflict even more acute. But in the end, it is Agatha who finds a way out of the hopeless situation in which the whole troupe of the theater found itself. Interestingly, Agatha Donizetti gave his mother the brightest musical characteristics, creating this grotesque part for the male voice bass baritone. And this gives an opportunity to reveal the vocal and acting talent of the performer.
