Destroyers of post-punk stereotypes
DK Energetik is a Ukrainian musical group, which is called almost the most important on the modern domestic post-punk scene. The collective was created at the beginning of 2022 with the aim of showing everyone that post-punk not only remains relevant, but can also sound very interesting and technical. The band included musicians who had previously participated in other projects:
- Yakov Marny (vocals);
- Vsevolod Shutka (guitar);
- Oleksandr "Fol" Folyanskyi (bass guitar).
In their work, musicians at different times were inspired by the world stars Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Gorillaz, Bomfunk MC's and others, as well as travel, sports and family comfort.
The band released its first single "Energetik" in February 2023. The composition, created literally over the course of three evenings, carried an important message: life should be lived consciously, because everyone has only one life.
In 2023, 2 albums were released, which completely destroyed genre stereotypes that post-punk is something too simple or outdated. The albums were called "Youth" and "The Way". In September 2024, DK Energetik's new album "Tomorrow" appeared on the network. In it, the band members reflected their own view of the future and emphasized that action is the main driver of any changes and transformations.
DK Energetik's repertoire has not been included in the time frame of one concert for a long time, so devoted fans try not to miss a single meeting with their idols in order to hear all their favorite works in a unique live performance.
