My Chemical Romance is an American alternative rock band.

In 2001, it was founded by the artist Gerard Way, and by the middle of the zero MCRs, they had become icons for teenagers who consider themselves to be emo - the then popular subculture.

My Chemical Romance started in the garage, but pretty quickly signed a label deal. So there was the debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love (2002), which was liked by critics, and, most importantly, sad teenagers who were not understood by their parents.

The song "I'm Not Okay" became their anthem - it raised an important question about the problem of stigmatization of mental illness in society.

The peak of popularity and a great creative leap of the group came in 2006, when they released the cult album The Black Parade. He entered the lists of the best records 2006 according to Kerrang! and Rolling Stone, and the group won the Best International Band in the NME Awards.
