When physical theater and the artist’s apt word come together, something special, powerful, and impressive emerges. This is what happened this time too – and now it’s your turn to form your own impression of this exclusive production.
The performance “Mesopotamia” in Odesa will take place on June 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Ukrainian Theater.
"Mesopotamia" is a new stage story based on the book by the famous Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan. For the viewer, the play will become a real cinematic journey, in which everything familiar suddenly becomes the main thing, and the everyday takes on a new meaning.
The creative team includes:
Actors: Viktoriya Rudavska, Kyrylo Skryabin, Maria Milenkovych, Oleksandr Plakhtiy, Oleksandra Kovalchuk, Sofia Kryvorotova, Yuriy Zakharov, Yaroslav Savchenko.
At the intersection of Serhiy Zhadan’s poetic prose and Artem Vusyk’s stage vision, a story is born about us – imperfect, ironic, but – alive. About those who timidly, clumsily – but seek support in each other. “Mesopotamia” appears as a reflection of the viewer’s inner world. This is a space in which everyone recognizes their own emotions and memories: in nighttime conversations on the roof, in things that have been stored for years, in the familiar aromas of summer that bring back first love. This performance leaves behind a special mark – one that does not remind of itself for a long time…
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes. Age category – 16+. We are waiting for you!
