"TURPKA" is a famous folk tale retold by the Ukrainian classic Ivan Franko! We have heard this tale many times: "Grandfather for Turnip, grandmother for Grandfather..." - and so on... But why didn't we ask ourselves what the grandfather's name was? Why did the grandfather want to plant Turnip in the first place? We didn't know either, until we found the first notes of Ivan Franko's tale about Turnip in the old archives. In these drafts, we saw how Ivan Franko masterfully combined a European fairy tale and folk humor! And this version is quite suitable for a puppet theater! You will see how the old traditions of the European school of puppeteers and Ukrainian color combine in a crazy cocktail of humor, mysticism and fantasy! And all this in the children's play "Turnip", which we recommend for viewing to viewers aged 5 and older!
