Sarnecki & Zakus Quintet is an international quintet that will unite musicians from Poland and Ukraine on one stage. The band consists of: Rafał Sarnecki - guitar, Igor Zakus - bass, Usein Bekirov - piano, Danylo Vinarikov - saxophone, Dmytro Lytvynenko - drums.

Rafał Sarnecki is a Polish jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. His work combines European sophistication with New York improvisational energy. The musician studied at The New School and CUNY Queens College in New York, where he performed for many years with various jazz ensembles, including Lucas Pino No-Net Nonet. During his career, he toured the United States, Europe and Asia, completing about 20 concert tours of Asian cities.

Sarnecki has released five albums, three of which— Song From a New Place , Cat's Dream , and A View From The Treetop —were nominated for the prestigious Polish Fryderyk Prize. His music has been featured in publications such as DownBeat and All About Jazz .

Igor Zakus is an Honored Artist of Ukraine, bass guitarist, composer, producer, teacher, and founder of the Jazz Kolo project, which develops Ukrainian improvisational music and unites jazz musicians. One of the most famous Ukrainian bass guitarists, who works with different types of bass guitars and creates a recognizable individual sound.

ARTEMOV Jazz Festival — music, memory and freedom

III International ARTEMOV Jazz Festival 2026 will be held on October 10–23 at the Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic. The annual international festival is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding jazz musician and composer Serhiy Artemov, who voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale war and died in April 2023, defending Ukraine. His call sign "Musician" became a symbol of the combination of love for music and devotion to his country.

ARTEMOV Jazz Festival is not just a series of concerts, but a space for the development of Ukrainian jazz, musical communication, and creative freedom. Renowned masters and young talents, Ukrainian and foreign performers, will meet on the stage of the Philharmonic.

The festival program includes master classes, concerts, and evening jam sessions with the participation of festival guests. This is an opportunity not only to listen to jazz, but also to be part of a live musical process where improvisation and new musical traditions are born.
