For the first time in Dnipro, a work of modern Ukrainian classics - "Gloria in excelsis deo" by Bohdana Frolyak - will be heard.

The evening will be concluded by the monumental symphonic poem "Finland" by Jan Sibelius - a hymn to freedom, resilience and the indomitable spirit of a people defending their right to life and light. Ludwig van Beethoven. Symphony n. 1. This symphony opens the 19th century! And it opens almost scandalously! Because it is Beethoven! He boldly breaks the rules! For musicians - it is clear: the first chord is wrong, it has no right to be the first chord of the symphony! The third part of the symphony - for the first time in history - is not a minuet, but a scherzo. The finale - what is this, Lord, being done?! Instead of the traditional festive triumph of the violin, pieces of the usual scale are timidly and slowly played, as if they are just learning to play. He, excuse the word, really mocks and mischiefs! This is Beethoven!

Bohdana Frolyak. "Gloria in excelsis deo". Concert for violin, voice and orchestra. Glory to God in the highest. An ancient Christian hymn of praise. "On earth peace to men of good will. We glorify You, We bless You, We worship You, We magnify You!" . The name of Bohdana Frolyak has been on concert posters in different countries since 2000. She has declared herself as a talented composer-symphonist, a bright representative of the modern Ukrainian composer school. Suffice it to say that her teacher was Myroslav Skoryk himself. Such a school, multiplied by talent, is worth a lot!

Jan Sibelius. Symphonic poem "Finland". Stunningly majestic music! Very solemn, beautiful! It's not for nothing that the Finns are proud of Jan! With his music he told about the harsh and beautiful country, its nature, the northern lights, the freshness of spring, the beauty of forests! Finland is called the country of a thousand lakes. This is not accurate! There are 190,000 lakes in Finland, and about each of them is the symphonic poem "Finland"!

Nazariy PYLATYUK – violinist, teacher, People's Artist of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, laureate of international competitions. Soloist-instrumentalist of the highest category of the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine, Shevchenko laureate. He leads an intensive concert and tour activity in Ukraine, Poland, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, and the USA. He performed with the National Swedish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the "Kyiv Soloists", the "Virtuosos of Lviv", the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv Philharmonic named after S. Lyudkevych, the chamber orchestra "Academy" of the Lviv National Academy of Music named after M. V. Lysenko. Composer Myroslav Skoryk dedicated Concerto No. 7 for Violin and Symphony Orchestra to Nazariy Pylatyuk, which was recorded by the studio (NAXOS) in 2014, accompanied by the National Odessa Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the world-famous conductor Earl Hobart. Nazariy Pylatyuk's performing style is distinguished by brilliant virtuosity, which naturally combines with inspired poetic thinking and an individually unique, figurative and emotional flair.

Dmytro LOHVIN – conductor, People’s Artist of Ukraine (2016), professor at the Dnipropetrovsk Academy of Music. Founder and artistic director of the chamber orchestra “Seasons of the Year”, artistic director of the festival “Music without Borders”. In 2009–2011, he was the chief conductor of the ensemble “Kyiv Soloists”. The maestro performed with symphony and chamber orchestras of Ukraine, Israel, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, his programs included works by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Skoryk and contemporary composers. He collaborated with famous soloists and singers from around the world. Since March 2018, he has had the honor of conducting performances of the National Opera of Ukraine, namely the operas Aleko, Rigoletto, the ballets Bolero and Carmen Suite. Dmytro Logvin combines his creative activity with work in art management; he is the director of one of the largest European centers of contemporary art, PinchukArtCentre.
