Yuriy Golota is a conductor, violinist, graduate of the Lviv National Academy of Music, student of Professors Skibinsky and Musin, laureate of the Turchak International Conducting Competition.
He participated in conducting master classes under the guidance of Sir Georg Solti and the International Handel Academy in Karlsruhe.
After graduating, he worked as the music director of the Dnipropetrovsk State Opera, the chief conductor of the Western Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra, the artistic director of the Chernivtsi Philharmonic, and the Western Ukrainian Baroque Orchestra. In 2015-2017, he was the chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv National Academy of Music. Since 2017, he has been the chief conductor of the Mianyang Symphony Orchestra in China.
As a guest conductor, he collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Lviv National Philharmonic, the Odessa National Opera, the Kyiv National Operetta Theater, as well as other leading orchestras in Ukraine and Europe.
He has conducted over 1,000 concerts in such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall in London, the National Concert Hall in Dublin, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the National Opera of Ukraine, and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
