The modern Ukrainian musical changes the viewer's perception of modern theater. The eternal theme of the confrontation between good and evil sounds especially acute today, and bold stage solutions and the use of advanced technologies make the performance truly large-scale.

The play is a large-scale Ukrainian musical centered on a story of love that can overcome even death. The premiere of the play took place at a time when the country itself is experiencing turning points, and the struggle between good and evil has ceased to be just a symbolic theme of art and has become the reality of everyday choices.

The production is based on the emotional story of Vlad III and his beloved. At the same time, it is not a classical theatrical interpretation, but a modern musical show created according to the original author's concept. The project became the first musical of this scale to be born on the Ukrainian stage in two decades.

A story that encourages exploration of the depths of the human soul

Vlad offers a completely different take on the famous legend. It lacks the gloomy atmosphere of Bram Stoker's Gothic novel - the audience is presented with a new dramatic story that does not repeat any of the previous interpretations.

The first act takes us to the harsh world of medieval Wallachia, while the second takes place in modern London. The title of the play itself reveals its main idea – it is a combination of light and darkness, a story about a monster in which a person with a wounded soul and a big heart lives.

The main character is a figure on the verge of contradictions. Having betrayed God, he himself becomes betrayed and doomed to eternal wanderings in search of the soul of his lost beloved in the world of the living.

Through this story, the creators convey to the audience the main idea of the production: love is stronger than death. But at the same time, another, much more complex question arises: what exactly awakens the light and dark sides in a person? What can make the world a better place? The musical pushes the audience to reflect and invites them to look into their own souls to find the answer to the question of the true nature of evil - and to understand that its source is often hidden within the person himself.

The performance uses modern 3D Mapping technology, which creates a unique visual space and adds new expressiveness to the eternal story.
