Usein Bekirov is a Crimean Tatar pianist, composer, arranger, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Doctor of Philosophy and teacher. He heads the Department of Jazz and Popular Music at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Academy of Music and teaches at the Department of Composition and Modern Technologies at the NMAU in Kyiv.

Usein Bekirov's music has been longlisted for the Grammy Awards three times. The musician has collaborated with famous representatives of the world jazz scene, including James Jenas, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Denis Chambers, Ibrahim Maalouf, and others.

Bekirov's work combines Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar folklore with modern jazz trends. His musical style is distinguished by emotionality, depth, and powerful energy of performance.

DNIPRO BIG BAND is a jazz orchestra of the Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic, created in 2000. The repertoire of the group includes original arrangements and compositions, as well as works by prominent jazz composers and performers: Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, John Coltrane, George Gershwin and others.

The orchestra has collaborated with contemporary jazz musicians from Ukraine and other countries, including Carlo Muscat, Dmytro "Bobin" Alexandrov, Denis Adu, Ilya Yeresko, Andriy Arnautov and others.

III International ARTEMOV Jazz Festival 2026 will be held on October 10–23 at the Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic. The annual international jazz festival in Dnipro is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding jazz musician and composer Serhiy Artemov. At the beginning of the war, Serhiy voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and died in April 2023, defending Ukraine. His call sign "Musician" became a symbol of the combination of musical talent and devotion to his country.
