Державний Центр театрального мистецтва імені Леся Курбаса – інноваційний багатофункціональний простір у Києві, створений у 1994 році і розташований за адресою вул. Володимирська, 23в. Робота закладу розпочалася за рік. Директоркою та засновницею НЦТМ імені Леся Курбаса стала Неллі Корнієнко. Головне призначення центру – слугувати простором для реалізації різноманітних творчих ідей – навіть найбожевільніших. Саме тому тут заохочують молоді сили, що застосовують новітні методи та проводять сміливі мистецькі експерименти, інтегруючи досвід сучасної світової культури у художній та інтелектуальний простір нинішньої України і – навпаки.
У Центрі Леся Курбаса діють три підрозділи:
- науково-дослідний;
- художньо-театральні пошукові лабораторії;
- культурологічний відділ.
На сцені Центру Курбаса свої вистави презентують «альтернативні» театри, студії, творчі групи:
- Запорізький муніципальний театр Vie;
- Дикий театр;
- Театр МІСТ;
- ProEnglish Theatre;
- Театр сучасної драми та комедії;
- Театр-студія «МІФ» та інші.
