To save themselves, the friends come up with a desperate plan: they flee from Chicago to sunny Miami, reincarnating as women and joining a female jazz band under the assumed names of Josephine and Daphne. But the peace does not last long. She appears on the horizon – the charming Sugar Kane, with whom both characters instantly fall in love. Now they have to hide not only their real names, but also their feelings. And around them is a real whirlwind of emotions: the heart dramas of the band's mistress Sue, the adventures of the administrator Binstock, the passionate love of the millionaire Osgood and a whole avalanche of comic situations.
