To the 100th anniversary of the birth of Opanas Zalivakha, an artist who saw Ukraine in the color of the spirit.

We still remember so fresh the voice, the smile, the clarity of the gaze, the smell of the colors of the fresh canvases of the great Painter. His paintings live, and the incredible power of the Spirit of the Master's Thought lives. We dedicate this performance to him, and it is addressed to us - the contemporary artists of our life and the life of our Ukraine. With Zalivakha, we are building a bridge to all the sixties - their voices keep us going today, their actions give us the strength to Win again.

Uniquely, the performance will feature only the texts of the Master and his friends. This is the fruit of the theater's great work in processing articles, interviews, letters by Afanas Zalivakha and letters to the painter from his friends from the sixties: Alla Horska, Halyna Sevruk, Nadiyka Svitlichna, Lyudmila Semykina, Vira Khorosheva, and Ivan Gel.

The image of the performance is the abyss of the world of the hermit-Master, a secret cell, a workshop, an “abbey” of his eternal thought. In it, the intense work of answering the question: “WHO ARE YOU?” is constantly going on. This ultimate effort of the will and spirit of man gives birth to beauty. It is the only one that exists — our Ukraine. In the heart and visible. On earth and in the sky.
