In November, the music of «The Lord of the Rings» will embark on a journey through Ukrainian cities. Uzhhorod will be among them, where compositions that have long become an integral part of the legendary saga will resound.
The concert «The Lord of the Rings – Legendary Music by Howard Shore» in Uzhhorod will take place on November 6, 2026, at 19:00 at the Zakarpattia Regional Philharmonic.
The chamber format will change the familiar perception of the compositions. Individual parts will sound clearer, while details will become more noticeable. For the trilogy, Howard Shore created an entire world of sounds – from the warm serenity of the Shire to tense themes in which the approach of a great battle can already be felt. The soundtrack earned the composer three «Oscars», and now his music will receive a new interpretation in a chamber performance by the Kyiv City Quintet.A Musical Journey from the Shire to Mount Doom

The peaceful Shire gives way to mysterious Rivendell, then the music becomes more austere and leads to Rohan, while the gloomy path to Mount Doom can already be seen beyond it.
