Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic: history and location
The Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic was founded in 1946 with the aim of popularizing the best examples of world musical culture and developing professional performing arts in the territory of Transcarpathia. The Uzhhorod Philharmonic became the basis for the creation of the Transcarpathian Song and Dance Ensemble, symphonic and wind orchestras, pop ensemble. Once it was the building of the former synagogue, and in 1947 it was finally handed over to the newly created Philharmonic. In 1957, the synagogue became a philharmonic hall forever. Unfortunately, today most of the decor has not been preserved, you can see only the remnants of its former beauty. However, this does not change the fact that a wide variety of high-level performances with famous musicians and groups took place within the walls of the Uzhhorod Philharmonic
