“Garden of Divine Songs”

“Garden of Divine Songs” is a contemporary theatrical performance based on 28 ancient Ukrainian wedding songs. These songs form the dramatic foundation of the production, creating a multidimensional artistic world that unites tradition and modern interpretation.

This is not a reconstruction of a wedding ritual nor a ritual theatre performance. It is an artistic exploration of universal human themes — love, relationships between man and woman, family ties, ancestral memory, and responsibility to future generations.

The performance is built as a delicate yet complex stage composition, where each song becomes a separate emotional narrative, and together they form a unified expressive space.

The creative team combines music, visual art, and stage movement to create an immersive atmosphere. The visual concept by Serhii Savchenko, lighting by Bohdan Dvornyk, and costumes by Petro Nesterenko-Lanko enhance the emotional depth of the performance.

Cast includes: Nataliia Polovynka, Yuliia Tarasovych, Mariia Kmit, Khrystyna Silivon, Anastasiia Redchuk. The artistic director is Nataliia Polovynka, Laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize and Honored Artist of Ukraine.
