"Hymns of Baroque Wars" is a new book of poems, prose, and graphics by Serhiy Zhadan, which will be published in the fall by the publishing house "Meridian Czernowitz".

On October 21, the Lviv presentation of the collection, which will combine texts, light, and music, will take place at the Maria Zankovetska National Drama Theater. Good friends - the general partner of the event, "Persha Privatna Brovarnya" - are helping to realize this evening.

"Hymns of Baroque Wars" - texts written in Kharkiv during 2024-2025. Chronicles of the city's resistance, testimonies of people's love, speaking out loud what holds and gives strength. The first book by Serhiy Zhadan in the last two years.

"I really want to gather everyone I haven't seen for a long time, who I haven't met in recent months, who I only hear about, but whose presence has been energizing and helping all this time. For me, this is a special book - it has many names, faces, and sunshine. A kind of painfully conscious balancing act between verse and prose, between font and line, between question and answer.
