"On Sunday Early She Died the Potion" is a modern stage interpretation of the work of the same name by Olga Kobylyanska, a passionate drama with a romantic-adventure plot, ancient beliefs, tragic fatalism and authentic songs.

What role does the potion that everyone is so afraid of and to which they turn in moments of greatest longing play in this story?

Was it the poppies that adorned Tetiana's luxurious hair that seduced Hryts? Did they only remind us of the harmony that people so desire and find so unbearably difficult to achieve?

So does the potion have the same power over people, especially those in love? Is it different for everyone?

Love triangles, with a difference of more than 20 years, in this story were torn apart by various forces of the human soul, often spontaneous, and sometimes purposeful, actions dictated by strict rules, moral standards and devoted love.

In this story, women for the sake of love disregarded the rules and went to violate prohibitions, doomed to disregard God's just judgment and cruel human condemnation. And the men lacked the courage and will to become happy.
