The play is set after the fall of the Berlin Wall, as three generations of women from the same family return to a house with a complex and controversial history. Once purchased from a Jewish family during the Nazi regime, the house becomes a symbol of memory, loss, and moral choices.
The play explores how history can change depending on who tells it. Here, different temporal layers intertwine, and dialogues from the past echo in the present, forming a complex picture of family memory. Unlived emotions, silences and attempts to justify the past create deep internal tension. Family history becomes an example of how trauma can affect subsequent generations, shaping their beliefs and destinies.
The stone in the play is not just an object, but a powerful symbol of truth. Once thrown with hatred, it becomes a silent witness to events and preserves the truth, which sooner or later comes to the surface.
"The Stone" is a performance that leaves no one indifferent. It makes you think about the issues of responsibility, memory, and the power of truth, which, despite everything, remains indestructible.
