The play is based on Olga Kobylyanska's story "The Wolf".

Zoya Zhmut lives the dream of giving her children a better life. Isn't that what every mother wants? Her children should walk around the village, and everyone should look around with admiration, because - "Zhmuty are gone!". The field should be the best, the daughters-in-law the richest. The son-in-law is as she wants him to be. And this desire takes pathological forms. The disintegration of the family, the gap between generations, the loss of important human values - these themes have become even deeper and bleeding in today's world.

"Wolf" is about the eternal problem of parents and children, about the importance of separation from the mother and the consequences of hyperopia.
