The Luhansk Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre presents a contemporary tragicomedy “Who Am I?” based on Marius von Mayenburg’s play “The Ugly One”, translated by Natalka Snyadanko. Creative team:

• Scenography - Serhii Rydvanetskyi;
• Costumes - Nataliia Rydvanetska;
• Movement - Nataliia Ryzhkova;

Lette works as an engineer in a large company. He is not allowed to present his invention at a congress because of his ugly face. Instead, his assistant Karlmann is to give the presentation. Lette decides to undergo plastic surgery, which turns out surprisingly successful, but the consequences of the changes are unexpected.

Is my personality important? Am I only a reflection of how others see me? What is the value of a human being? Do social opinion, norms, and standards influence our actions? What do modern rules of existence dictate? It is worth discussing...
