The two-act ballet "Viy" directed by Radu Poklitaru is not just a stage interpretation of a well-known plot, but a deep philosophical parable about the trials of the human soul. The Academic Theater "Kyiv Modern-Ballet" transports the viewer to a world where the line between reality and dream blurs.
At the center of events is a student Homa Brut, whose familiar world collapses, giving way to a bizarre space of fears and trials. His path is a struggle with inner demons, a search for faith and an attempt to withstand the unknown. What is reality and what is illusion? How to recognize the evil that hides behind an attractive mask? And is a person able to overcome his own fear? The production poses difficult questions to the viewer, leaving room for personal reflection.

The play preserves the names of the characters, but the plot takes on a new meaning. The director offers his own interpretation of the story, rethinking the events, characters, and context in which the action unfolds.

The nearest metro station is "Maidan Nezalezhnosti". From the station, you need to walk up the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred for about 10 minutes.

If the air raid siren sounds before the start, visitors must vacate the theater, administrators direct the audience to the nearest shelter (station m. Independence Square ). If the alarm did not last, then after its end, the performance will begin in 20 minutes. If the alarm is in the middle of the event - the show stops, the theater staff takes the audience out of the theater building - next to the theater is the metro station " Maidan Nezalezhnosti ", if the alarm is short (up to 40 minutes) the show can be continued after the alarm ends.

The International Center for Culture and Arts (also known as the October Palace) is the center of cultural life for Kyiv residents and guests of the city.
