Vasyl Stefanyk's stories about events remote in time and people far in time still fascinate and excite. Shaking the generally accepted norms of morality, they balance on the border of ugliness and beauty, tears and laughter, good and evil, life and death.
Perhaps today - in the time of trials, in the very epicenter of the historical crisis - Stefanyk's philosophy and his heroes will find a response and resonance in the audience. The universe created by him will make it possible to understand such simple people on the outside, but infinitely complex in their spiritual world.
