Yulia Roma is a voice that has become an integral part of the European jazz scene. Her talent is a sophisticated combination of improvisational freedom and deep respect for the word. Since 1997, Yulia has remained one of the brightest representatives of the Ukrainian scene, performing with leading musicians in Europe and Ukraine. Her albums are separate worlds: "Shevchenko" 2026: A new look at the classics in collaboration with Yuriy Shepeta. "Rejoice" 2011: A magical interweaving of folk carols with modern jazz. "Flower" 2010: An author's manifestation of the Ukrainian soul. "Heartbeats" 2006: A bold English-language debut. Yulia Roma does not just perform music - she creates it as a composer and nurtures it as a mentor. As a teacher at the Glier Academy and head of the jazz department of the KDSHM named after M. Verykivsky, she passes on the skill of improvisation to future stars. Her presence on stage is always an intellectual pleasure and high musical culture.

About III International ARTEMOV Jazz Festival 2026

Where and when: October 10-23, Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic. Annual international jazz festival in Dnipro, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding jazz musician and composer Serhiy Artemov. At the beginning of the war, Serhiy voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and died in April 2023 defending Ukraine. His call sign "Musician" became a symbol of the combination of musical talent and devotion to his country.

The festival not only honors the memory of Serhiy Artemov, but also aims to develop Ukrainian jazz. "ARTEMOV Jazz Festival" is more than just a series of concerts. This is our common space of musical freedom, where the memory of Serhiy Artemov inspires new generations to create, play jazz. Dnipro will once again become a center of jazz: the Philharmonic stage will unite famous masters and young talents, Ukrainian and foreign performers.
