«Suzirya» Theatre – a true retreat in an atmosphere of comfort and intimacy awaits you here

The Kyiv Academic Workshop of Theatrical Art «Suzirya» has been offering Kyiv residents and guests of the capital leisure filled with aesthetic pleasure for more than 35 years. During this time, more than 300 actors have appeared on the theatre's stage, including Larysa Kadyrova, Liudmyla Lymar, Ada Rohovtseva, Bohdan Stupka, Mykola Rushkovskyi and others. The theatre's productions consistently attract widespread media attention and receive enthusiastic feedback from audiences.

The theatre was founded in 1988, and since then the venue has been headed by its director and artistic director, People's Artist of Ukraine Oleksii Kuzhelnyi.

The building that houses the «Suzirya» Theatre is a historical and architectural landmark located at 14-B Yaroslaviv Val Street. The interiors of the building are designed in the Art Nouveau style.

Repertoire of the «Suzirya» Theatre

Today, both People's and Honored Artists as well as talented newcomers are invited to perform in the theatre's productions. Both renowned and young directors are involved in creating the performances.

The theatre's repertoire includes classical and contemporary productions performed in Ukrainian and even English (for example, the outstanding production «Ghosts»). The ongoing war in Ukraine has also inevitably found its reflection in the theatre's productions.

The programme includes:

• children's and family performances («Pan Kotskyi», «The Sorochynska Magpie», «The Story of Found Things» and others);
• productions for young and adult audiences («Almond Croissants», «Oscar – To God», «Will You Take the Bed?!», «Stolen Happiness» and many others).
