Great Hall of the Odessa Philharmonic
The National Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra presents an evening where the element of sound meets the virtuosity of the soloist.
With the participation of the famous violinist Bohdana PIVNENKO !
At the conductor's desk is the orchestra's artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Ukraine Hobart Earle , whose name has long been associated with the high performing level of musical programs in Odessa.
The first section will feature one of the most famous symphonic works in the history of music — "The Sea" by Claude DEBUSSY (1905).
The three movements of this impressionistic masterpiece—“From Dawn to Noon at Sea,” “The Play of the Waves,” and “The Conversation of the Wind with the Sea”— unfold like a sound painting: the changing shades of the orchestral timbre convey the play of light on the water, the capriciousness of the waves, and the elemental power of the sea.
This is music that is worth hearing live — it is in a live performance that the full depth of its orchestral flavor is revealed.
In the second section , Bohdana PIVNENKO , People's Artist of Ukraine, one of the brightest violinists of our time, will take the stage to perform the premiere of the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 by Ukrainian composer Volodymyr ZUBYTSKIY (1989 ) - a work of vivid emotional power and original musical language, combining virtuosity with deep drama.
Don't miss the opportunity to experience the energy of a live orchestral sound and the true virtuoso skill of the soloist.
