The Theater on Tea House presents a deep dialogue-extravaganza based on Plato's dialogue "Ion". This is a performance that turns into a philosophical duel in which reason and passion collide. Creative team:

About the true nature of art – in a vivid interpretation of Plato’s work

“Ion” is a performance about the nature of creativity, about an artist who at a certain moment ceases to belong to himself. This is a story about inspiration that can elevate and at the same time destroy, about the fine line between craft, talent and true obsession with the stage.

At the center of the plot is the meeting of the rhapsode Ion (a brilliant performer of Homer’s works) and Socrates, who is trying to understand the nature of the declaimer’s gift. Does Ion possess knowledge and skill, or does he simply become a conductor of the force that passes through him? An ordinary conversation gradually turns into a sharp intellectual confrontation.

There are only two people on stage. But a tension arises between them that captures the entire space. "Ion" turns the stage into a living chain between gods, poets, actors and spectators. And, perhaps, it is during this performance that everyone in the hall will feel, at least for a moment, that invisible impulse when art begins to speak through a person...

Duration - 60 minutes. Seating in the hall is free. After the start of the performance, the audience is not allowed into the hall.
