He performed with world-famous conductors: Saulius Sondeckis (Lithuania), Urs Schneider, Simon Kamartin (Switzerland), Stanisław Winiarczyk (Poland), Heinz Pramer (Austria), luminaries of the Ukrainian conducting school - Mykola Kolessa, Yuriy Lutsivy, Myroslav Skoryk, Roman Kofman; famous Ukrainian conductors V. Blinov, M. Dyadyura, V. Sirenko, I. Palkin and others. He played in ensembles with violinist Bohodar Kotorovych (Ukraine), pianists Eleonora Piradova (Ukraine), Lyudmila Martsevych (Ukraine), Mykola Suk (USA), Yuriy Kot (Ukraine). Yuri Shutko's repertoire includes works of all styles and genres for solo flute, flute accompanied by piano or orchestra, created by composers of the world over the past three hundred years. He has made many transcriptions of popular music himself. Since 1999, he has been playing the only golden flute in Ukraine made by the Japanese company "SANKYO", which specializes in the production of concert instruments for solo performances by world-famous musicians-flautists. Critics note the inspired performance of the virtuoso flute repertoire, the unsurpassed skill and performing philosophy of Yuri Shutko's playing. In his hands, the flute is in no way inferior to the voice, violin or piano in its impact on the listener. His manner of performance is bright, virtuoso, rich in nuances and a variety of colors and makes a fascinating impression. At the same time, Yuriy Shutko's playing impresses with its refined details, rich sound palette, and special sense of style and form.
