SUMMER EVENING IN AN ITALIAN COURTYARD
June 13, 2026, Saturday | 6:00 PM
Italian courtyard of the Philharmonic, Nina Strokatoi Street, 15
On a summer evening, the Italian Courtyard will open its space for special music — chamber, symphonic, and vocal — that will sound under the open sky in a new space.
The unique historical architecture will become a natural setting for music from different eras, where each piece will unfold in the special acoustic perspective of the evening city.
Conductor — Oleksandr Perepelytsia
Soloists: Roman Arabadzhi (baritone) Pavlo Doronin (flute) Nadiya Duldier (flute) Yulia Ivanova (piano) Kateryna Misko (violin) Tetyana Mulyar (soprano)
The concert program is structured as a dialogue of eras and styles — from Baroque sophistication to modern musical language.
It combines the French grace of Rameau and Rebel, the scale of Haydn, the architectonics of Bach, the expression of Britten, as well as the works of Ukrainian composers Mykhailo Shved and Oleksandr Kozarenko:
Jean-Ferry REBEL - Les élémens: Tambourin
Joseph HAYDN - Die Schöpfung ("Rollend in schäumenden Wellen")
Mykhailo SHVED - Parallels for Strings
Johann Sebastian BACH - Brandenburg Concerto No. 4
Benjamin BRITTEN - Les Illuminations (I. Fanfare; II. Villes)
Oleksandr KOZARENKO - Concerto Rutheno
Philippe RAMO - Les sauvages / Forêts paisibles
This evening's music will unfold in the living space of the courtyard — between stone, air, and silence, which becomes part of the sound.
