Here is a heartfelt and emotional play about growing up, freedom, and the courage to live your own life, even when the whole world is trying to keep you in check. It's a story full of light, subtle humor, and those moments that imperceptibly touch the very heart.
The performance "Little Donnie, Who Overcame the Darkness" in Odessa will take place at the Tea House Theater.
The Teatr na Chayna presents a warm stage story in the genre of pseudo-opera based on Leonard Hersh's play "These Free Butterflies". The director of the production is Oleksandr Onishchenko. On stage are Natalia Shynkarenko, Vladyslav Kostyka, Olena Yuzvak and Vadym Kostyliev.
The plot centers on a young boy who is trying to escape from his mother's excessive care and finally prove to himself that he is capable of building his own life. A meeting with a bright, bold and straightforward girl in her decisions changes everything for the hero: she teaches him not to be afraid of mistakes, to take risks, to fall in love and to accept life as it is - imperfect, but real.
The performance combines lyricism, soft irony and semantic depth, leaving behind special feelings. It reminds us how important it is sometimes to let go of fears, allow ourselves to be vulnerable and finally spread our own wings.
Duration – 120 minutes. Age category – 14+. Seating is free in the hall, after the start of the performance, spectators are not allowed into the hall.
